On November 2nd, the 2nd Victorian Commercial Investment & Innovation Expo (VCIIE) and Industry Development Forum was successfully held at the AusAsia Goglobal Expo Centre.

Jointly hosted by the Australasian Business Development Association, Aus-Asia Media, and World Trade Centre (WTC) Melbourne, this prestigious event brought together political leaders, business elites, and academic experts to focus on technological innovation, investment opportunities, and the future of Sino-Australian economic cooperation.

Distinguished Leaders Unite for Collaboration
The opening ceremony welcomed a lineup of distinguished guests, including Mr. Fang Xinwen, Consul General of the P.R.C in Melbourne; Hon. Tim Wilson MP, Federal Member for Goldstein; and Mr. Richard Welch MP, Shadow Minister for Employment, Industry and Innovation.

Ms. Angela Liu, General Manager of WTC Melbourne, and Ms. Qin Fanming, Chair of VCIIE, joined the VIPs for the ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially launch the event. Guests highly praised the expo for its role as a vital bridge in promoting cross-border business exchange and technological innovation.

Industry Forum: Insights into the Future
Running concurrently with the expo, the Industry Development Forum facilitated deep dialogue centered on the theme of “Innovation-Driven Development and Industrial Win-Win.” Key highlights included:
Healthcare & Aged Care: Experts also shared forward-looking insights on new policies for in-home support.
Invest Victoria: Mr. Yang Zhining, Director of Greater China & New Zealand at Invest Victoria, provided a detailed analysis of Victoria’s latest China strategy and the current investment outlook.

A Fusion of Technology and Culture
The exhibition floor was a showcase of innovation across nine key sectors, including AI technology, new energy, and medical wellness. Cutting-edge products, such as AI robot dogs and smart glasses, became the focal point of the event.
Beyond technology, the event featured a unique blend of cultural experiences. Interactive zones for Zen Tea ceremonies, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) consultations, and a multi-national food tasting area added a rich cultural dimension to the business exchanges.
