The grand opening attracted distinguished guests, partners, and media representatives, who gathered to celebrate this milestone.

A Gathering of Elites

The event featured speeches from prominent figures, including Bruce Atkinson, Former President of the Victorian Legislative Council, Justin Pan, President of the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia (Melbourne Branch), and Philip Le Liu, Councillor for the City of Melbourne. They highlighted the significance of the WTC Elite Club as a vital addition to Melbourne’s business ecosystem and a new platform for collaboration and resource sharing.

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony: Marking a New Chapter

The highlight of the event was the ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Bruce Atkinson, Justin Pan, Philip Le Liu, Angela Liu (Managing Director of WTC), and Jansen Zhan (WTC Director). The ceremony symbolized the official opening of the WTC Elite Club and was met with enthusiastic applause from attendees.

Art Exhibition and Table Tennis Show: A Fusion of Cultures

A standout moment of the WTC Elite Club’s grand opening was the collective appreciation of artwork by renowned artist Mr. Dalu Zhao. His captivating pieces enriched the event’s artistic ambiance, inspiring meaningful conversations and fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and creativity among the attendees.

About Mr. Dalu Zhao

Mr. Dalu Zhao is an internationally acclaimed artist, born in Beijing and renowned since the early 1990s. A graduate of the Fine Arts Department of the Beijing Film Academy, he later taught at the Capital Normal University School of Fine Arts. As one of the participating artists in the groundbreaking 1979 “Stars Art Exhibition” in Beijing, Mr. Zhao has played a significant role in modern Chinese art. He further refined his craft in Italy, mastering traditional European oil painting techniques, which he seamlessly integrates into his depictions of rural Chinese landscapes.

After relocating to Australia in 2001, Mr. Zhao has held numerous solo exhibitions in Sydney, Melbourne, Beijing, and Shenzhen. Notable among these are his “Reading Memory” exhibition at the National Art Museum of China in 2011 and “Beyond the Image” at the He Xiangning Art Museum in 2012. He is also a two-time finalist for Australia’s prestigious Archibald Prize, earning the People’s Choice Award in both Sydney and Melbourne. His works are housed in prominent institutions such as the National Art Museum of China, the National Portrait Gallery of Australia, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, and other distinguished collections.

At the WTC Elite Club’s grand opening, Mr. Zhao contributed his exceptional art exhibition, enriching the event with cultural depth and showcasing his unique vision and cross-cultural creativity.

One of the most memorable moments was the table tennis exhibition match between Angela Liu and Jon Zhang, showcasing a perfect blend of skill and cultural exchange. Guests later joined in, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere that highlighted the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures.
